 Do-It-Yourself Landscaping

Option I

Stock Designs

Linton's offers stock designs that may be utilized as is, or modified to achieve a personalized design for your situation. These designs are front foundation plantings for some popular Michiana area home styles.

How to begin:

1. See a Linton's Garden Centre staff associate to select a pre-drawn home style that most closely resembles the front of your home.

2. Begin choosing the plants that best fit your taste and sun requirements using the pre-drawn plan that coincides with that plan.

3. If you are unsure or would just like some advice, simply ask one of our knowledgeable Garden Centre staff for assistance.

Option II

Specific Area Sketch

(For Green Thumb Club members only. Ask how you can become a member).

Linton's will help you take the guesswork out of landscaping and gardening.  We will show you what you can expect to achieve, explain how to do it, and give you plans and tell you how to make it grow and glow.  If you would like we will even maintain it for you!!!!

Bring in a pre-drawn sketch, with measurements (pictures are helpful too), of an area that you would like design assistance.

Our Garden Centre staff can then help you select the plants you like and suggest placement.  Proper placement of plants and edging are so important for the best long-term success and a professional look!

Option III

Master Plan Design

By using the Linton's Master Design Program, you will receive designs exclusively drawn for your home or business by one of our designers.  Just follow these 4 easy steps.

1. Purchase a gift certificate as a deposit toward your initial plants and materials to get started.  See our office personnel for details.

2. Browse through our Garden Centre and our extensive selection of plants.  Make a plant list using our form and state your likes, dislikes and expectations.

3. Let us know what landscape style that you would like for use to create.  Our landscape designers are trained in all different landscape design techniques.  Do you want to create a cutting garden, or an oriental garden?  Are you looking for a contemporary or formal design?  Or are you looking to create a woody-natural landscape that will attract birds and butterflies? Do you love to garden?  Are you looking for a low maintenance landscape?  We want to customize our design to meet and exceed your expectations.

4. Have an idea as to your budget.  For example, one side of an average home can range from $500 to $3,000 depending on the types of plants and ground cover you choose.  We do our best to stay within your budget.

After purchasing a gift certificate, we will make an appointment to come to your home or business for an on-site design.  Being on-site is always an advantage to our customers.  We can answer your questions, layout a design for your property on paper and help you by walking you through it on-site!  When you are ready to get started just being in your design and we can help you select your plants and materials and make any adjustments to your plan if you wish.

Linton's professionals will design and install a custom landscape for your home.

Linton's also offers “FREE” design work for you to install yourself.
